One of our most popular lanterns is now available in a Ultra High Quality version. This model anchor lamp is hand machined in the Netherlands by some very skilled artisans of pure heavy-gauge copper and brass. The Fresnel style lens is also very heavy glass made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for many nautical miles. NOTE: The glass is clear, not green.
The anchor lamp is named for it's use. A 360 degree white light is required to be displayed at the highest point of the tallest mast on all vessels at anchor or under way at night. These oil burning lanterns were made to be lit and hoisted to the top of the mast with one rope tied to the handle and 2 ropes through the brass guides. Since we strongly suggest that you not burn oil in it we have installed a battery operated LED Tap Light. You can use it right out of the box.
