The Washington Ferry is now available as a FULLY ASSEMBLED model, ready to display. Master craftsmen use historical photographs, drawings or original plans meticulously handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch. They are built to scale with high-grade wood such as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand built individually using plank-on-frame construction method, similar to the building of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop.
Our model is carefully painted in the original colors of brown, red, green, teal, and white. The construction includes an absolutely incredible 3-D ship body, see-through from front to back and side to side. It includes countless painted windows on the three decks (the first deck’s window are tinted in blue), wooden stairs, wooden navigation towers, metal fences around the top deck, “Spokane” imprinted in white on both sides of the front and back of the ship, and many more exclusive ornaments.
The included beautiful tabletop display case was made out of hardwood and painted in a rich dark mahogany. It has distinctive designs that add elegance and beauty when displayed in your home or office. It is 100% fully assembled and comes with plexiglass panels on all sides. It features the curved sides which enable it to accommodate models with wide yards. This case is very effective in preventing dust buildup as well as keeping your valuable tall ship looking new and protected at all times.
This model also includes a solid wood base and brass nameplate. For a more personalized gift or display, consider adding on a fully customized nameplate plaque with your choice of text and/or logo.
