Every year this ship is used by the United States Coast Guard to train their officers and cadets. Oddly enough the ship was built in Germany. At the end of WWII, the United States took the ship from Germany as part of the war reparations. At 295 feet long, it is the largest active Tall Ship in the U.S. Military.
