Bring a little history into your boat collection. Lifeboat 7 was a wooden starboard lifeboat and the first one to be lowered from the sinking Titanic. Although there was a capacity of 65 people, it left with only 28 people on board, thus with 37 empty seats. The reason why was that many women and children were reluctant to enter a small wooden lifeboat and preferred to stay on the massive ’unsinkable’, but sinking, Titanic.
Using the traditional method of construction while integrating the highest quality of materials currently available, our selection of full-sized boats are hand build by passionate master craftsman with more than 30 years of experience. Strips of high-grade wood are kiln dried before being joined together by hand and encapsulated in fiberglass, bonded in place with epoxy resin, and finally coated with marine vanish. This combination of fiberglass and epoxy is very strong and completely transparent so that the beauty of the wood will be appreciated and protected for generations. Each boat typically takes 600-800 hours or more to build, and goes through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. The time and care taken to create this piece takes it from an average boat to a true work of craftsmanship that will brings looks of awe and envy wherever they are used.
