This Rainbow half hull model was inspired by the sailing boat Rainbow, a J-class yacht built-in 1930, and a successful defender of the 1934 America's Cup. Now, this stunning boat is available as a FULLY ASSEMBLED, mounted, half-hull model for your home. Master craftsmen use historical photographs, drawings or original plans meticulously handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch. They are built to scale with high-grade wood such as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand built individually using plank-on-frame construction method, similar to the building of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop.
This model comes mounted to a solid wood panel with black lacquer and includes an engraved brass nameplate. For a more personalized gift or display, consider adding on a fully customized nameplate plaque with your choice of text and/or logo.
