This Shamrock half hull was inspired by the sailing boat Shamrock, a racing yacht built in 1898 which was the unsuccessful Irish challenger for the 10th Americas Cup in 1899 against the United States defender, Columbia. Now, this stunning boat is available as a FULLY ASSEMBLED, mounted, half-hull model for your home. Master craftsmen use historical photographs, drawings or original plans meticulously handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch. They are built to scale with high-grade wood such as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand built individually using plank-on-frame construction method, similar to the building of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop.
This model comes mounted to a solid wood panel with black lacquer and includes an engraved brass nameplate. For a more personalized gift or display, consider adding on a fully customized nameplate plaque with your choice of text and/or logo.
