The Harvey was built in 1847 in the state of Maryland. She was an able ship working out of the port of Galveston, and had a successful career, first as a warrior and then as a cargo carrier. Carry that history into your space with this model crafted from western red cedar, rosewood and mahogany. Hundreds of hours were required for this model to be finished, allowing its exemplary details to stand out. Built to scale, it features a varnished two-toned wood on the hull, plank on frame, and two decks. The front bowsprit and three large masts are connected securely using advanced rigging and lines painstakingly knotted and fastened by hand.
Each yard has attached, hand-stitched, unfurled sails made of fine linen. For added authenticity, metal anchors and a wooden rudder are visible on the front and rear of the ship. On the deck, there are metal stationed cannons, wooden windlass, bell tower, and many other spectacular ornaments that are sure to pique anyone's interest. A fine addition to any type of home decor, the model has a unique serial number etched into the hull.
This model comes standard with a solid wood base and brass nameplate.
