This 14" Oil Burning Copper Anchor Lantern is an accurate reproduction of an old fashioned ship's “Anchor Lantern”. It was originally made to hang in the rigging throughout the night to warn approaching vessels of another vessel that is anchored.
The materials used are only the best in quality. We use copper, brass and heavy glass that is beveled such that it gives out extra light, similar to that of old lighthouses. The historic looking brass plate reads: "ANCHOR". Although this looks old, it is a brand new piece measuring 14" tall (not considering the lower bail handle). With upper handle extended and lower bail hanging free it is 21" in height overall.
