Everything Nautical is proud to present the Brown's Head Lighthouse (ME) Animated Tide Clock. This stunning clock tracks the tide in true nautical fashion. While the dial counts away the hours between tide cycles below, the top is mechanically animated to show the changing sea level in real time. At high tide the water will sit high on the coastline, and slowly lower to reveal the face of the bluff below before beginning to rise again.

Located in Vinalhaven, Maine, just off Penobscot Bay, this lighthouse was first established in 1832, then replaced in 1857 with the current tower. Only 18 feet in height, the light shines 37 feet above sea level and has a range of 15 miles. The Brown's Head Lighthouse was automated in 1987. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It remains an active aid to navigation to this day.
