Take yourself to a nautical adventure with the Brig Georgiana Mixed Stitch Pillow from Everything Nautical. Reminiscent of the age of exploration, this pillow features a depiction of the Brig Georgiana painted by James Guy Evans (1809-59) in 1846. Born in New York City, Evans worked as a shoemaker before enlisting in the Marine Corps. Records reveal he worked as a commercial painter in New Orleans until his death, painting houses, ships and signs in addition to his historical, marine and ornamental paintings. Today, Colonial Williamsburg's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum houses the original oil painting that inspired this dramatic piece. Add character and history to your own home décor with this mixed stitch pillow that bridges the past and the present.
