Outdoor Nautical Decor for a Party on Your Pool Deck

Mar 31st 2015

You love to throw theme parties, and you love to have parties out by your pool. Why not combine the two and throw a party with a nautical theme out by the pool on a cool summer evening? Here are a few ideas on how to use Outdoor Nautical Decor to prepare the theme for your next party.

Surroundings

Set the scene with a few well placed nautical inspired pieces. First drape a decorative fish net or nautical garland over the fence and deck rail. Place a sea-bird on a perch near the pool. You might even consider a cute little lounging mermaid on the diving board.

Lighting

While you probably have sufficient lighting on your deck and surrounding your pool area, why not consider adding some nautical flair to the lighting options. Perhaps you could use a pair of signal lanterns, or a set of port and starboard oil lamps.

If you prefer candle light, add some interesting nautical candle holders to the surroundings. Different colors of Japanese glass floats on the surface of the pool water will reflect the pool lights and create a dramatic lighting effect.

Table Scape

Place a few shells on the serving table for decoration. Rest a wine bottle in a holder. Serve the food on a few of these beautiful shell serving plates.

Try using these fish-shaped tables next to seating groups as places for people to set their food and drinks. Pillows and throws on the seating add a final touch to the area with the added bonus of offering comfort and warmth if the night air turns cooler.

With just a few of these ideas your next party will bring admiration. It may turn into an annual event, all because you took the time do a little careful planning. If you want to plan your dream party, contact us.
