Capture the Charm of Life at Sea with Nautical Furniture
Nov 11th 2015
Have you ever dreamed of living at sea? Have you pictured yourself at home on the ocean, nestled into a tropical harbor or sailing around the world? Maybe you've imagined the cozy charm of a houseboat in Caribbean waters; with seagulls calling and the sound of the lapping surf nearby. Maybe your style is more suited to a luxury yacht, and the freedom to cruise the world in the comfort of your home.
I know I've dreamed of a life at sea, surrounded by the vast and beautiful ocean...That's why my jaw dropped when I stumbled across this luxury residential cruise ship, MS The World. This ship contains 165 private residences, and all the makings of a small, private resort town. Residents -- who are all part-owners of the ship -- take part in planning their travel itinerary. The ship is home to gourmet restaurants, swimming pools, a spa, grocery stores and cafes, and even a golf course. In 2012, The World became the largest passenger vessel to traverse the Northwest passage, and her residents got to see the lands of the Arctic from the warmth and comfort of their cruise ship. Sounds like the trip of a lifetime.
Now, back to reality! Not all of us can afford to live aboard a luxury cruise ship, and might not choose to if we could. Most of us content ourselves with enjoying the nautical world from the comfort of the shore, either in regular visits or special vacations. There are other ways to surround yourself with the natural loveliness of the sea, like decorating your home with nautical furniture. While it isn't the same as living at sea, decorating with our new line of premium nautical furniture will add some of the luxury and style of high-end ocean liners to your (land-bound) home.
